Charities we support

We’re proud to support some brilliant charities who are working hard to make the world a bit brighter.

  • Waste not, want not

We do everything we can to ensure Boden clothing never ends up in landfill by donating unsold and faulty (but still wearable) items to charity. We’re partnering with Newlife, National Police Aid Convoys and Scope. Customers who participate in our ‘Pass it On’ recycling scheme contribute to this work.

Newlife is changing the lives of thousands of disabled and terminally ill children across the UK by supporting them and their families by fast-tracking life-changing equipment. They fund high-quality research which aims to improve health and support a better quality of life. And support families with tailored help through a nurse-manned national helpline. In 2020, 2021 and 2023 we donated over 7 tonnes of clothing to Newlife, which was sold to generate donations.

Similarly, the National Police Aid Convoys (NPAC) is a fantastic organisation that delivers humanitarian aid to disaster zones or places that need emergency support. Since 2019, we’ve donated not fit for sale clothing to The Commonwealth of Dominica, Syria and Africa.

We’ve worked with the charity, Scope since 2013. During this time, sales of over £1 million have assisted their campaign towards a fairer and more equal society for people with disabilities, providing them with practical information and emotional support.

We’ve also donated 30 tonnes of clothing to countries in urgent need and over 100,000 items to US charity M25M and Smart Works.

  • The Charlie Waller Trust

The Charlie Waller Trust educates and support young people (and those with responsibility for them) about their mental health and wellbeing. In late 2019, to coincide with World Mental Health Day, we launched a collection of slogan T-shirts (dreamed up by Mini customers) and donated the proceeds to the Trust

  • British baby banks

We have worked with British baby banks in order to support families who could do with a helping hand. So far, we’ve donated almost 500 items of clothing to Baby Basics, Little Village and AberNecessities, and we’d now be delighted if you’d consider doing the same.

Not only is donating to initiatives such as this a gesture of togetherness in these uncertain times, it’s also a good thing for the planet. Taking part couldn’t be simpler. All you need to do is box up the items (your latest Boden packaging would be great) and send them on

We’re looking for clean, stain-free clothing in sizes 0–6 years, baby and children’s bed linen and towels. Please don’t send anything with ‘mummy’ or ‘daddy’ on it, or which references a religious festival such as Christmas. Donations will be stored for 72 hours before use to ensure they’re Covid secure.
