Which payment method can I use?

Boden.com accepts the payment methods below:

- Most major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express

- Apple Pay

- PayPal (unavailable for pre-order items)

- Clearpay (unavailable for pre-order items)

- Boden Gift Cards

- Boden account credit (more information can be found under ‘How to use my boden account credit’)

All credit and debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

When will I be charged?

In most instances, we only take payment when your items have been shipped. Only items that are available are charged so, if you buy a pre-order item(s), we won’t charge you for it until it is sent to you. There may be circumstances in which pre-order items will be charged prior to being shipped.

Please note that Clearpay & PayPal are not available on orders containing pre-order items.

How do I use my Boden account credit?

Account credit can be used on our entire range (including sale items), has no expiry date, and is valid in conjunction with any offer! We think it’s great but, just so you know, account credit can only be used on orders placed on our website, and only the full amount of credit can be used (up to the value of your order).

To use your account credit, please log in to your account, select your items, and click ‘Checkout now’. Your credit will appear once you reach the ‘Payment’ section, where you will see the ‘Apply account credit’ tick box. Make sure this is checked, and your credit will be applied straight away, leaving any outstanding amount to be paid.

Once you log in to your account, you can check your account credit balance at any point, by following the steps below:

Click on the person icon in the top-right corner of our website
Select ‘My account’ from the list that appears.
Move your mouse back to the top-right corner and click on the downward pointing arrow (next to your initials).
Select ‘Profile’ to see your account details, including your available account credit.

Paying with Apple Pay and account credit

To combine express payment methods with account credits, you must first log in to your account. Navigate to the "Payment" step in the checkout process and select the "Account Credit" checkbox. After applying the credit, you can return to the "Information" step and choose Apple Pay to complete your purchase. This process allows both payment methods to be used together.

Pricing & custom charges

All payments made at Boden.com are in pounds sterling. If you use a card in a currency other than sterling, the rate of exchange and any additional fees will be set by your card issuer.

Prices quoted are based on UK delivery. For non-UK deliveries, local tax will apply and the price may be adjusted at checkout.

Please also note that you may be liable for a customs charge on receipt of your order, which is out of our control. We suggest you check local customs information before placing an order as we won’t be able to refund any charges.

Offer codes & gift cards

How do I apply my offer code?

You can apply your offer or Gift Card code in the ‘Discount code or gift card’ box - this can be found on the ‘payment’ page.

Gift Cards, Sale and Clearance items, and other selected items are excluded from offers. You can find additional information on our exclusions page and in your offer terms and conditions.

How do I apply my Gift Card?

Check those 12 digits – any letter ‘O’s are actually zeros! Then head to the payment page, where you will see a box to enter a ‘Discount code or gift card’.

I forgot to apply my offer or Gift Card, what do I do?

Please contact us with your order number, as well as the details of your offer or Gift Card number, and we will be happy to look into this further.

What if I buy something worth less than the value of my Gift Card?

Any remaining balance will linger on your Gift Card, eagerly awaiting it’s use on a future order, so please keep hold of the Gift Card number! It’s also a great idea to file this somewhere as, if you return an order on which Gift Card was used, your Gift Card will be credited up to its original value (according to our returns policy).

For returns on any orders where more than one payment method is used, your other payment method will be credited before your Gift Card (up to the value paid).

How do I return a gift that I have received?

If you have received a gift from Boden that’s not your cup of tea, please contact us with your order number to hand, and we will be happy to look into this further. Just so you know, we will need to keep the ‘gift giver’ informed.
